I have a good friend who says, “I want to leave people better than I found them.” It’s a statement I can really connect with, both personally and professionally. I want our clients to feel confident about their financial futures and to move forward toward the things they hope to accomplish in their lives.
As a senior advisor in Traverse City, I work with a wide range of clients. Many of them are women – widows, divorcees, or business owners. What they all have in common is kindness! I have a soft spot for people who take charge of their financial lives, whether by choice or circumstance. It gives me the chance to offer them educational opportunities and help them make decisions that are right for them.
My path to Beck Bode was through Intentional Wealth Advisors, LLC, (IWA) which merged with Beck Bode in 2022. What I have discovered over these past years at Beck Bode is that I love being part of a bigger team with expanded resources. There is always someone with whom I can discuss and work through a complex financial plan- which is a bonus for me and for our clients. Our Traverse City team is a trio of women who are committed to helping our clients plan and invest in their futures.
I grew up in Traverse City and love giving back to my community. For the past 6 years I have been the financial review committee chair for Impact Traverse City. Our local chapter has awarded $2.4 million to 22 groups since 2017 making transformational change in our five-county area. I also serve on the Maidens of Michigan committee which is a giving circle on a much smaller scale but has a huge impact on the individuals we serve. My desire to give back was instilled by my mom and dad. I grew up in a house where we were always thinking of helping others. Giving back and being close with family are important parts of my life.
When I’m not with clients I enjoy cooking for family and friends. Our house is always full of kids, their friends and ours. I like to boat, sing, play piano, walk, or hike, and enjoy this beautiful area we call home.
